The Americano originates from Piedmont. Mauro bases his on top of organic Grignolino from different growers; one of them being his niece Nadia of Cascina Tavijn. The key botanicals in this take are wormwood, the gentian flower and its root, green bitter oranges, galanghal and vanilla. Serve it classic on the rocks with soda and an orange slice.
